Antonio Navarro-Manso
I was born in Gijón, Asturias, Spain, on Sep 19th 1977. My professional certifications are PhD. Civil Engineering (University of Cantabria, Spain, 2013) and "Ingeniero de Caminos, Canales y Puertos" (University of Cantabria, Civil Engineer, Structures, 2004; MEng. Research in Civil Engineering, 2012). I have been working during seven years as a bridge builder and consultant engineer at PUENTES Y CALZADAS INFRAESTRUCTURAS S.A., Cudillero JV, Spain, 2007-2009 and at TAPUSA S.A., Ballota JV, Spain, 2003-2007 (Project Manager) & 2009-2010 (Head of the Technical Department). I have been also hired at University of Cantabria (GITECO), Construction Engineering Area, Spain, from 2010 to 2013 during my PhD research and at Advanced Simulation Technologies S.L. (AST) from 2013 to 2014. Currently I am Associate Professor (permanent not tenured position) at Hydraulic Engineering Area and GIFD (Fluid-Dynamics Investigation Group), University of Oviedo, Spain. I also collaborate in some investigation projects as Prof. Researcher with GICONSIME, University of Oviedo.

— 7 bridges and 2 highway sectors (15 km) erected. — 2 Patents: Bridge Launching. — 20 Research Papers (18 JCR), 4 books & 2 chapter: FEM & CFD Numerical Simulation, Structural & Wind Eng. — 3 National Award: Spanish Government, ANCI & University of Cantabria. — 4 Attendances in Foreign Institution: Princeton University ,NJ, USA (2017, 2022 & 2023); THM, Giessen, Germany (2013). — 1 Attendance in National Institution: EPI, Gijón, Spain (2011). — 2 National Pln Projects (2 P.I.) & 52 Research Projects (18 P.I.). — 29 International Conferences (8 Staff). — 66 Degree and Master Thesis directed.
